I downloaded it, and it downloads it as a FILE.....NOT even a video file.
VLC can play it BUT I can't convert it or anything because it didn't even download it as a video file?!?!

Um no. I know plenty about files, I know more than most people about files. The properties says "file".... Not "flv, mpeg, or avi" I have iWiSoft Converter and it doesn't recognize it as any suppported file. So obviously you don't know what you are talking about.
I have a converter, that's not the problem.
the problem is that no converters can even see the file.
