To develop film you need a developer, a stop bath and a fixer. Load the film into your developing tank in total darkness and then pour in the developer, making sure to note the developing time according to the temperature. You have to agitate the film as well. When that's done, empty the developer and then pour in the stop bath. This only takes a few seconds but agitate well. Pour out the stop bath and pour in the fixer, following instructions as per agitation and time. When that's done, rinse under cold tap water thoroughly (at least 5-10 minutes). You can now take the film out of the tank. To prevent beading and lumping, rinse it in water with a little dishwashing soap added (not sudsed up) by holding either end of the film and running it through the water. Now hang it up to dry by adding a clothespin to the bottom of the film to keep it from curling up. Allow to dry. The soapwater rinse will cause the water drops to run off the film and not cling to cause lumping. Cut the dried film into strips and you're ready for printing.
