How do I deduct my computer as a business expense?

I just recently purchased a new computer to support some freelance work that I do on the side. I am getting ready to pay my first estimated taxes, and I am wondering if I should deduct the cost of the computer before making the payment. The computer cost more than I made this quarter, so do I have to pay any estimated taxes?
