how do i cut video clips but at same time not the audio clips on sony vegas movie studio 8.0?

When I am editing a video project on Sony Movie Vegas 8.0, I often want to edit/slice a video clip but at the same not NOT want to edit/slice the corresponding audio clip. How can I do that?
