it just opens outlook and requires a manual e-mail.

In this case it opens Outlook because that is the default email editor you have selected. For another user it might Eudora or Gmail. You are getting what you ask for. There are tons of sites with code snippets for HTML and I'm sure you could find something. But in this case you want an email sent and that's what it is doing.
