For starters you can change the name you show in Yahoo Answers right now if that is your real name and you do not want others to see it.
HOW DO I EDIT MY YAHOO! ANSWERS PROFILE
Click on My Profile in the upper right on the green border. On your Profile page click Edit My Info in the middle column on the Edit My Profile. Right at the top You have 2 choices for a nickname to use, your Yahoo! Profile nickname or one you create. I
f you choose to create your own nickname a tip is to not use hyphens or underscores or other special characters to connect words because when you answer questions or ask a question the name that shows will be shortened (truncated) if it is long and the whole thing not show but if you use unconnected words the rest of it will show on another line. For example, I am True Colors and not true_colors or true-colors.
When you are done editing your Y!A profile click the blue Preview button and then OK.

HOW DO I CREATE AN ALIAS
For every Yahoo! ID you can create 6 aliases. In the Messenger menu at the top of Y!M choose My Account Info and once you sign in, on the right you will see where you can create aliases. I will be posting some help links for you that will explain this in detail. One major thing that is different now is that aliases cannot have unique profiles. If you want an alias to have a profile you will have to link it to your main Yahoo ID.
You might need to exit Yahoo! Messenger before the new alias you have created becomes available in the drop down menu of the Join a room window for chat rooms or the drop down menu under Send As in the IM box.

Please note in your case if your Yahoo ID is your real first and last named, and you link your alias to your main Yahoo! ID so that it has a profile, your Yahoo! ID will show.
