About a month and a half ago I bleached my naturally black hair and dyed it red. Now I have dull, orange-red hair with noticeably black roots. I want to keep my red (I have a lot of shadows on my face that are made worse by my natural black), but I don't want to bleach my roots every month when they grow in. Is there a dye technique that will look good even with the black roots, without taking away the red? My mom suggested putting in black streaks, but I don't know if that would look good or not.
I don't know if this will help any, but here is some info: I have a yellow/olive/tan skin tone (it's kind of dark and shadowy), my hair is very thick/coarse, and it reaches to the bottom of my shoulder blades.
