ok so here's my problem, i've been dying my hair red for a couple of years now, usually metallic reds, i dyed it a couple of times with the live XXL reds, the last one came out really dark, dark brown with a slight red tint, my natural colour is mousy to medium brown and i have some natural roots, but the rest is a dark colour with a red tinge, when the sunlight goes through it it's actually ginger!! when i see pics taken of me you can't really see the difference between my roots and the bottom, it just looks dark, it's very strange. anyway!! i heard that if i keep dying it every couple of weeks with a semi permanent colour or maybe a toner colour, that it'll correct the red tint? so then i can highlight it and make it lighter, also i did a strand test with the b blonde highlighting kit for light to dark brown hair, and it went blonde but very brassy!! so i want the red tint gone before i do another test, please help!!
