Please note... do NOT give me a GENERAL answer.
Tell me EXACTLY what to do! I have MAC computer. Before you answer, look at weebly.com or the info I paste to find their rules!
I do NOT mind switching to a different host, if you can explain the process.
Also I cannot email you back for some reason, so leave your email address please!
I use weebly.com for my free site. I want to have the same info, but saved on my domain. Also, I want to keep editing Weebly.com cuz it is easy for me to build my site.
That way if weebly.com ever deletes my site for some reason, I have all the coding and files on my own domain and host.
How do I transfer all the codes and files? I assume I need to download all of the pictures and upload them on my host. Is there a fast way to do this if so?
Here is what weebly.com says, however, I want to make sure that it is not just redirecting the page, because I want to make sure if my weeebly.com site is ever deleted that my own domain has all the files and HTML coding:
Option A: Email instructions to your domain registrar
Send these instructions to your domain registrar (ex. GoDaddy, 1and1, Yahoo, etc.)
Option B: Make the DNS changes yourself hide instructions
We have specific instructions for GoDaddy (here) and Yahoo (here).
For all other registrars, follow these general instructions:
1: Log in to your domain's control panel
2: Locate the area to change your domain's DNS settings
3: Create 2 A-Records to point to Weebly's IP address
A-RecordHostPoints to
#1The root of your domain (usually identified by a @ or * symbol)199.34.228.100
#2www199.34.228.100
