Im an athlete (fighting sport) but I hate working out for conditioning. I like training for my sport with my trainer who is a former body builder to push me and get things done in the gym. But the thing is, we only go tuesdays and thursdays, rarely weekends coz he is busy on other days. I feel like it is not enough and I want to take the initiative to add atleast one day like a wednesday of working out for conditioning on my schedule. but the problem is.. i feel like it is so tiring and I just wanna rest, how do I convince myself? What do I say to myself?
ps:im in decent shape(like a 3 out of 5) and I would say im getting fairly okay each week but the maximum potential is not even reachable with the effort right now and my sport is very competitive that being in good shape (5 out of 5) can decide the outcome of the fight coz of better anaerobic movements, strength, agility, etc.
its also like a 10 minute drive to the gym, I hate working out alone with nobody to talk to, I dont know how to use most machines, totally hate the atmosphere, ambiance of the gym.
