I'm 12 yrs old and I both need and want a cellphone. I am a very busy person: I have swimming 4 times a week, either basketball or lacrosse 2 times a week, violin lesson once a week, piano lesson once a week, orchestra practices 3 times a week, choir practices once a week, girl scout meetings once or twice a week, plus church activities. Because of my busy schedule, I have to be from one place to another on time, and have to be picked up on time. My parents can be late, and that can result to me being kicked off teams or groups. To prevent this I need a cellphone. I also simply want a cellphone because all my friends already have theirs, and I am one of few friends who does not yet have mine. Any way to convince my parents to let me get one?
Also, my dad isn't against me getting one, however, both of my older sisters got theirs at a later age and my mom thinks it would be fair if I got it at the same age. I am trying to explain the advancing of technology to her, but she doesn't listen.
