ok, so I am 16, I am a BIGTIME musician, and I am really into the whole music engineering business and whatnot, and I know that Macs are really good for creating music, and their fast so my projects won't be slowed down like they are on my junkie windows machine. Anyway, I don't think I know how to pop the question to my parents... "hey dad, can I get a $1200 computer?" or "hey mom, can I spend the next year working my job to pay this off...", because they're obviously gonna say no, because I have been kinda spoiling myself lately with all the job money I have been receiving (ex. my new expensive guitar, amps, drumset, ipod, cellphone.. etc.). But here's the thing... I believe that hard work can be rewarded with whatever I choose to spend my earning from, as long as I save half of it in the bank for important things later in life (which I have been doing)... Anyway, I need a way to ask my parents to get this computer so I can for-fill my passion of being a "recording artist in training" so I can have knowledge on what I want to do before college. What should I say?
