how do i convince my mom i should have a face book?

im 12 and all my friends are 11 cause i got held back cause i missed too much school so any way every one i no has a face book and im going into 6th grade and i only no 2 people with out a face book so how do i tell her i just want one!
she also said i cant get one till im in 8th grade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
