how do i connect to things with bluetooth on the itouch?

can you connect to phones with the ipod touch? i can search for phones but it takes forever. then when i use my phone to search i can find my ipod but i cant connect. any ideas?
 
No u can't.
The iTouch has the so called Stereo Bluetooth (Bluetooth Version 2.0 {can't be updated}) with it, u can connect to other iPods/iPhones and PC and other Bluetooth devices (that don't need Audio Bluetooth) except Phones.
Some other phones (not many smartphones if any) have the Audio Bluetooth (Bluetooh Version 2.1) with this one, u can connect to all Bluetooth devices including Phones!!!
So that's it
