How do I connect my Panasonic TC-P54V10 to the internet?

My modem ad router are not in the same room as the tv. Will the following method work:

Connect my TV using an Ethernet chord to my PlayStation 3. My PlayStation 3 is already receiving internet wirelessly from the router.
