I just bought Cubase Elements 6 to record some music. I used to use Cubase 5 but now that I've gotten my the new program I can't seem to connect my mic, or anything for that matter to Cubase. I connected my mic to a Tascam us-122 and then from a usb to the computer. I'm supposed to connect the mic through VST. It shows that the mic is connected but it won't record any sound and the sound bar does not move when I saw "Test". I've been working on it for an entire day. All I want to do is record some music but I can't even begin recording because it's so unbelievably difficult to connect the microphone. I know that thousands of other people have this problem and all the answers online either don't help or they're incredibly hard to understand. I want to record a song, not build a rocket, all I want to do is record! I'm getting frustrated because I haven't gotten a single answer that helps me in any way. Also something of note to mention is an error keeps coming up saying that Cubase is disconnecting from VST links because of receiving too many errors. What does that even mean? I also tried downloading ASIO4All which didn't help in the slightest, or I just don't understand what I'm supposed to do with it. PLEASE HELP ME! MANY OTHERS ARE CONFUSED BY THIS TOO, YOU'D BE HELPING MANY!
