How do I connect my bluetooth phone To my Hp Labtop with Vista.?

Most cell phones have to be set for always visible for the computer to find it. Also, some phones are only set up to search. If yours will allow itself to be found, make sure it is. Always start your phone first, then the computer. If you still cant get it to connect, remember that the nextel phone are different operating system because of the direct connect software. And last but not lease, uninstall the bluetooth addapter from vista and reinstall. restart the computer and try again.
 
Ok. So the main problem is. They can't find each other. I have my phone on discoverable mode, and I have the bluetooth program on my computer.
First Problem- When I hit search for devices on both computer and phone, simultaneously an seperately, both come up finding nothing.
Second problem- When I click on Bluetooth settings button on my computer, it gives me the little "working" symbol, but nothing happens even after 10 minutes of waiting. Nothing pops up to allow me to change the settings.
oh, my fone is a Nextel, I believe the number is i880 as thats whats on the front, but I'm not entirely sure.
I can't find the driver to delete it, but it says its on here, and I can open the control panel.
