So I can't move on. I'm pretty sure she is into me.... But, I asked to get together with her several weeks back, she said "of course" and asked when. She came up to me the night before, with a stuck-up attitude, and cancelled, saying her bf had a doctor's appointment and he wanted her to go...I was like "wtf...didn't know she had a bf" and I believe the boyfriend was made up last minute. The appointment was - doctor's don't hold appointments at 8 in the evening.
She acted confident/smug the next day I saw her when I gave a smile and a wave as she said "hi". I stopped making eye contact/smiling/say hey after this, though she would still look at me w/ a pleasant expression. Suddenly, recently, she's begun watching me a lot/staring at me a lot/checking me out and etc. I catch her and her expression is soft..I can see she's into me. (And I've had enough people into me before to compare) The look in her eyes really shows it. I know I'm not wrong there. I saw her looking at me the other day when she didn't think I'd notice (I was facing the mirror and I'm sure she didn't know I could see her) and her expression looked genuine; she was checking me out, and looked like she'd better look away but didn't want to..definitely looked like she liked what she saw
There is a male trainer at this gym. (She's also a trainer; I trained with her in the past...this is all at the gym btw) I've always felt somewhat flirty around him. I was talking to him the other day about his sessions and sometime through, I caught her staring at us from far away. When she finished with her client, she approached the area we were in(trainer's area) while watching me with a pleasant smile. I looked back at the guy trainer, didn't smile at her or say hey. He asked what my number was as she slowly walked by. And then she stopped, facing us, within 5 ft of us and watched. I didn't look at her. The next day, I met the male trainer for my session and he acted unbelievably pissy. He didn't say hello, didn't smile...he started asking the necessary questions with such an attitude. And then he asked if I'd ever trained with a trainer before. He clearly knew. His face contorted with anger/disgust. I said yea and he said "that's right, you trained with Amanda didn't you?" I barely said yes before he continued with "yeah, she was telling me all about that today" and immediately jumped to the next question so that I couldn't answer. He interrupted me when I tried making a comment to any other question after that. It lasted about 5 minutes and at various points through the workout. Clearly, what she'd said had done it. He isn't fun/overly-friendly with me anymore. I'm guessing she told him I'd asked her out. It was manipulative. I figure she got jealous and maybe wanted to mark her territory, get him to back off... To add, it seems she's spoken to other trainers/coworkers of hers about me in the past
Anyway, all I want to know is how to confront her. I want to have a discussion with her about all this and am thinking I should bring up the guy mentioning her talk about me. She acts and looks(she watches me a lot, especially in the past!..nonstop) into me, so I'm guessing her cancellation was a last minute move out of fear...We're not close, weren't initially great friends. I think it's possible she cancelled thinking I wasn't all that interested in her; I didn't give her attention and she probably thought I was into guys, checking out/flirting with other people...though I def. only notice her...
