How do I compress photo files on a Mac?

I'm trying to send 56 files to my employer and I've never had to do this before. I can't find a way to compress the files or zip them like you would in windows. I've been sending them in e-mail 5 at a time and it's getting super old, super fast. Ideas anyone? Thanks!
Sending them 5 at a time isn't working either. She said that it came up with an error.
There is no right click on my mouse and when I highlight them, there is no option for compression.
 
Highlight the photos you want to compress, right-click, Compress Items.
There are other softwares you can download for Mac that can do it for you, but having it built into the OS is really the easiest (and free) way to go.
