How do I clean under my car's hood so that it looks new?

When I wash my car, I can just do the outside, I have to vacuum, do the glass about 30 times cause of the stupid streaks and water spots even though the cleaner says non-streaking, armor all every last thing, even the tracks that the seats sit on (for moving back and forth), and pull the whole seat belts and wipe them a few times. So, it really annoys me that it is dirty under the hood. Especially if I go somewhere and then want to check the oil, my hands get so dirty and I don't have time to wash my hands for an hour from dirt and grease.

So, can I spray it with a water hose? Or will that flood the engine?

Do I have to meticulously armor all wipe every inch?

Or what...
