How do i check and see if my water pump is working on my 85 toyota truck?

unhook heater hose hold up in air have some one start car if flows out then it still pumping
 
i have a probelm with my toyota truck overheating and ive already replaced the radiator and thermostat, and im thinking it might be the water pump but i dont know. so can you please tell me how i can check to see if its working?
