how do i charge ac in my 1984 cadillac eldorado?

hi i want to charge up my a.c. but i dont know what kind to get and what hose.....and is there even i way i could do it my self? like is the entry in a awkward position? so can some one tell me where the entry is and what items i need to buy that would be great thanks so much..
 
No, you cannot do this yourself. Charging your AC refers to filling your AC with the gas FREON. Go to any local shop, tell them to charge your AC, it should be about $60. You have to know what you are doing or you could blow up the AC unit. The FREON tank has to have the right pressure and fill the AC up... dont even try to buy freon its running about $300 a tank these days

P.S. I've noticed all the Cadillac questions get posted in the GMC forum. It's interesting that so many people don't know what GMC is, but I guess you should be commended for knowing Cadillacs are made by general motors.
