How do I change the thermostat gasket on my 2004 Chrysler Sebring?

It is a sedan with a 2.7. The thermostat appears to be in two pieces, the lower part has hoses plugged into it, the upper part has the temp sensor and a purge valve screwed into it. The upper gasket is leaking water but I can't seem to see anything holding it on.
