its a 2 wheel drive. I have never changed my oil but have seen it done many times and doesnt look hard, I have all the tools. But how many quarts of oil should I put it in?

are these the steps?

-drain the oil from the oil plug
-take off old oil filter
-put on new oil filter
-put plug back in
-put in new oil

by the way wat kind of oil do i need10w30?

with the economy so bad, i want to save and change my own oil

thanks gearheads!

put a pan below the drain plug drain it open the top first. then take off the oil filter make sure you have old rags can get a little messy i believe that the filter is on the passenger side of the car near the wheel well. put the new filter on put a little bit of oil on the rubber thing on the new filter so it doesn't get stuck. put the plug back in make sure you wernt using synthetic before you should switch back to regular oil after using syntetic or at least thats what im told. put the plug back in on the oil pan. put the oil in the top it should be labled OIL. and make sure you use enough oil. I would also change my air filter too.

at advanced auto stores they will tell you what oil to use and how much by looking at one of the books that they have near the oil they will also tell you the filter size. recycle your old oil when your done.

It is usualy easier to just go to a shop but i love working on my jeep so i do it my self will probly cut down time too but price should be a little cheaper but not much.
good luck
shouldn't need it tho its really easy
