How do I change my blog theme with the html code?

I'm looking for a website that allows me to make a blog with a template that I've chosen on another website. I'm using blogger.com (or blogspot.com?) and I've tried pasting the html code from the template/theme that I want, but it doesn't show up right.
How can I use the template that I want on my blogspot blog?
If I can't, do you know a blogging website that allows you to paste the html code and change your template?
