I have a SRAM Max grip shifter and yesterday my cable snapped. (It's the inner cabler, not the one attached to the deraileur. I took off the grip, disassembled the housing and the cable seems to be attached to the inside and there's no way I see to remove it. I bought a new cable prior to taking apart the housing, but there's no way it seems to remove the old cable. Do I have to buy a new shifter with the cable attached or is there a way to remove the old cable?
Thanks for the amswer Bob. I watched that video as well and the part where it says to simply "slide the cable out of the housing" is where I have difficulty. Mine won't move at all...like it is attached to the inside.
