How do I catch a Northern Water Snake? He's in my Koi pond, eating all my fish!?

I've tried to catch him with a net and with this sort of clamp thing, but he's way to fast. He usually just chills in the sun, but once he sees you he slithers away, really fast! But I really need to get him out of the pond- he ate the bottom feeder!
