I want to keep a few crickets as pets because the sounds they make are supposed to help me sleep at night, and because I'll be needing them for a science fair project soon. I'm just gonna catch them outside because there's a ton of them in my backyard. I don't know what specific species they are, they're just brown and green (males and females I'm guessing). I need to know what to do to care for them. I got a little plastic 1 gallon tank to keep them in. Here's what I need to know...
~What am I supposed to put at the bottom if the tank for them to walk on?
~What do I need for the crickets to eat?
~How do I feed them water?
~How many male/females should I get (and is the only difference between them the green/brown color)?
~Do I need to get an additional shelter to put in the tank?
~Do I need lighting or something so it's warm enough for them (it's about 50-60 degrees in my house usually)?
