Your best option is to find a "sweet spot". An area where you can roll to, and ALMOST always roll a strike. It takes some practice to hit it, but once you do it consistantly, then you'll be golden.
The key is to slide slightly to the left or right, then adjust your angle and try to hit between the front pin, and the pin next to it. In Bowling terms, you'd be aiming between pins 1 and 2, or 1 and 3 depending on what way you choose to stand.
Note, this isn't an instant-win strategy. You'll still need to work on getting the right amount of energy, and maybe even adding a slight curve to the ball. Give it time, and you can roll a 300. It is FAR from impossible.
