How do I avoid parents finding my internet history?

Recently i normally delete internet history with cc cleaner, but I somehow I got caught with some sites. So any way my dad could have tracked me, think were on same network. What do u think of proxies, etc. What could have possibly happened, did i just forget to delete history one time. thanks
