Okay, so, I've been "with" this guy for a little over a month (but we've lived in dorms on the same floor pretty much the whole semester). We hold hands and spend a lot of time together alone--kind of like dates. But we don't refer to each other as "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" so I don't know if we are officially boyfriend and girlfriend, I guess. How do I ask him if we are officially exclusive? More specifically, *what* should I say? I am at a loss. Should I ask him at all or just leave it the way it is? Or should I just wait and see what happens? The thing is, though, that I really want to know where we stand in our relationship so I don't know how I feel about waiting until he asks or something. He has not asked me anything about it yet, and I think it's because he is very shy and introverted. So am I, so we've never really brought it up but I'm pretty sure we are on the same level. It just hasn't explicitly been stated, and it's kind of driving me nuts. How should I ask him if we are official? I know it's kind of a mundane aspect of being in a relationship with someone, but I want to know if we are serious (or have the potential to be).
