One of my mom's close friends recently divorced her husband and is moving to a house close to ours. She's a bit afraid of living alone with her two kids, so she asked if I could come check her house late at night for the first few nights and make sure everything was ok. From what I hear, her husband was an jerk to her and she had a sexless marriage. I wouldn't have doubts about asking her if it wasn't for the fact that I don't fear denial, but I fear if I don't ask her right and she is opposed to the fact, she will tell my mom of my advances toward her. I'm 18 so it's legal, but my mom would not be happy with me. What is the best way to lead her up to the question and ask it? Any similar experiences?
