How do I ask a guy for his number without things being awkward?!?

He's got a cell, I don't, but I have a iPad which I can txt from.
I don't want to just say HEY CAN I HAVE YOUR NUMBER?!!
And I don't wanna sneak it from someone or somewhere that's lame, to many questions he will ask.
I just want to casually ask him for his number so wew can txt or something.?
