...statistics / SPSS? I have to write a research proposal for my Psychology degree. My experiment consists of one IV and one DV. The IV is whether or not the participant is exposed to the term "chav" when describing a working class person or not. The DV is the likeability the participant shows towards the working class person using the Reysen Likeability Scale at: http://www.jasnh.com/likability.htm
After I've collected the data, how do I analyse it using SPSS to see if there is an effect? Do I use a T Test, one way Anova, two way anova etc?
Do I have to average out all the responses to the likeabilty scvale from each participant, or do I input each answer?
Any help would be appreciated.
