I've got a 72 Honda Z50 and I've got it running pretty good and was able to figure out the wires to get a headlight and a taillight to run. Now I need to figure out how to rig up a brake light so that I don't get a ticket. I wouldn't mind making a pushbutton type of thing, I'm just not sure what else I would need to make the taillight brighten up like a brake light.

standard Honda brake lights work from the rear brake pedal switch via a spring &/or directly from the front brake lever bracket. But seriously, a Z50 on the road???? That sounds like a suicide trip to me. You're too small to be seen, too close to the ground, and unable to maintain traffic speed. The wheelbase is too short, and the tiny wheels don't ride bumps well. I know that this is NOT a safe idea, from my own experience on a larger Honda Elite 50cc scooter, which was also too short and slow and had little wheels.
