How do I account for employees' meals taken from our restaurant?

We own a restaurant where our employees get to eat their meals for free. They also get free softdrinks from our inventory. I was wondering if I should expense the food, since what they're eating is basically what's left at the end of the day and would be subject to spoilage anyway. And what about the softdrinks? Thanks in advance.
