I'm trying to remove the starter from this 81 mercury zephyr. The bottom bolt will be a breeze, but the top bolt is blocked by other parts. I'm not sure what this part is, but its the biggest problem. Its about a 1" diameter pipe that's coiled 3 times. It runs from one part of the intake, to other part of the intake and is secured by huge approx. 2" nuts. I don't know what it is so I don't want to remove it. I've tried using all kinds of extentions, elbows, and other little gizmos to connect to a ratchet to be able to break the bolt loose, yet nothing works. I even disconnected the motor mounts and jacked up the motor some to try and get access that way, but my efforts were in vain. Please help.
