L lilly New member Aug 8, 2009 #1 i have a 21 gear (7 rear 3 front, 3x7= 21) crossroad road bike. i cant shift gears at all. im more concerned about the front ones, for it is very hard to go up hills in 3rd gear! i cant figure out how to fix it. i just ended up covered in grease
