I'm planning on going to college out of state and I'm wondering how they classify in-state and out-of-state tuition. I know that once you live in a state for a year you are considered a resident. But what If I live on campus for two semesters and then go back home for the summer. The next year will I be considered a resident or still a nonresident? Here is another possibility that I am thinking about. If I go to school out of state for two semesters, and then get and apartment over the summer and stay there. Will I be considered a resident the next year when I go back after the summer?
