How many accidents have to happen, and how many people have to be killed or injured before they finally look at the situation and decide to do a recall? I am just wondering. And if you have a source I would greatly appreciate it. Someone told me once they wait for a certain amount of people to be killed, before they order a recall for a safety related item, such as gas pedals sticking, differentials locking up, etc.
How do Auto Makers (Ford, GM, Toyota, Chrysler, etc.) figure when a recall is in order?
