How do a put a factory woofer in a 2007 Jeep?

I have a 2007 JK 4 door. My buddy has nearly the same model, but his has the Factory woofer. He upgraded his system, and gave me his woofer. There is a plug already in place in my Jeep for the woofer, however it does not come on when plugged in. I could not find a plug on the other end behind the dash. Is anyone familiar with this?
 
Your friend had the factory amplified system and you don't. The sub requires an amplifier that your Jeep don't have. You would have to add an amplifier for the sub but to do that you would have to do some research to find out what the specs are on the factory sub so you will know what kind of amp to get. I don't know who can help you out with that and I doubt that even the dealership will have any clue on the amp specs. For all the hassle you will go through trying to find out I would suggest just getting an aftermarket sub and ditching the factory sub.
