I'm booked in to do the everest base camp trek soon and while I believe I am fit enough, I have recently flared up a longer term knee injury. The other weekend I hiked Mount Kinabalu (which was where my knee problem occured) and was wondering if anyone has done both and could give me a comparison in terms of level of difficulty between the two?
Also - if you have done the everest base camp trek, what is the track like? Are you having to climb up rocks/steps, or is it more of a path?
Any insight into this would really be helpful in determining if I think I am fit enough to head off!!
