with points to an electronic ignition? how difficult and what will i need to update a 1971 ford 302 distributor with points to an electronic ignition?
 
Summitt Racing and JC Whitney sells the kits to do this. There are two types of kits. One has the electronics built right into to distributor and the other has the electronics in a separate enclosure. I have used the one with the built in electronics made by MSD. It worked great on my 1968 Mustang.
