How did you feel about Dustin Lance Black (gay) acceptance speech?

I was annoyed that he said 'God loves gays'. If he read the bible he'd see that God hates gays and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because it was filled with them. He also refers to them as an abomination and sentences them to public stoning. It is obvious that he meant the 'Christian' God too because he spoke to others saying, "Don't listen to them God loves you."As an atheist I really wish people would leave 'God' out of their speeches because even if he did exist, he wouldn't give a crap about you winning an Oscar. I also wish that gays would just become atheist rather than trying to believe that the Christian God loves them which is obviously not true.
 
God loves everyone. That's why He wants them to stop destroying themselves and choosing eternal doom.
 
I was annoyed at that part, too. But it seemed to be a heartfelt speech and good sentiment.
 
As an atheist, you just wouldn't understand... which is very sad. It's obvious that you do not know the Bible, which I can understand since you are an atheist. But there is NOTHING in the Bible that states that God hates homosexuals. In fact, the Bible is very clear that God loves ALL, even you, though you do not know Him.
