Did they cross from France or another concored country or did they sail from Italy around the mediteranian?
I see overand to an Island. Damn clever those Romans.

Caesar crossed the English Channel with his armies from what is now known as France, from a location called Portus Itius. Portus Itius may be the modern Boulogne-sur-Mer but we're not sure.

Edit: of course they crossed by boat =p

They conquered the Goths and Franks and worked their way north and west over land.

across the english channel from gaul ( france now ) the first invasion was cancelled because of a storm at sea and the loss of boats as a result

the second invasion was successfull

most likely they used a boat because boats are made so they can float on water
they came from both france and itialy
