I crashed into my parents' car (back bumper of a Nissan Maximum 2007) the other day && panicked about it because the dent was big (like 10 in. in diameter && at least 3 in. deep). But it was in the morning, and I needed to get to school so I left. I told my friend to go check it out before my parents notice it && when he got there (30 mins. later)...he did not see any dent...

&& when I got home from school...yeah, the dent was gone...
the car was perfect...

How was this possible??

the bumper shell is made out of plastic, being cold in the morning, it took the dent from the impact, but as the day went on, the plastic softened, and POP, the shell returned to its original shape. the problem here is that there are peices under the shell that are probably damaged, so best to own up to it, and get the repairs.
