...beliefs before WW1? so basically I have to describe and analyze the different ways all those things affected traditional thoughts before the First World War.

Tell your teacher that by the time the World Wars came around, we didn't have European frames of mind anymore. HOPEFULLY.
 
Marxism was big in Russia. They were the first country to allow female soldiers and stuff. they really took control of the country and had the support of women because they gave them freedoms.
