How did Jack from Walk the Line die?

I saw this movie a long time ago and remember this character dying. The movie was from walk the Line. I remember the younger brother went out fishing and Jack had a saw or something. And I think I remember a dog involved. I can't really remember much so can you guys explain to me how Jack died?
