People look for order. The weather, the sun, the ocean, they think that can't be by chance. They think something or someone has to be controlling those things. So they make creatures or people called gods that they think are controlling those things.
Did mean really just sit down one day, and say "Okay, so we dont know how (Example: the world was made) so let us say that these powerful beings called gods made it"
Did man literally just make them up like that? Or was it something more or perhaps a slower process?
