How demanding is the work at Hollister as a model? I showed up to my first day of work after orientation, during which by the way, we were only taught how to dress and not about the duties of the job itself. I was put in the front room all alone, told to greet people and tidy things up. I did those, but then was yelled at because the stacks of clothes weren't pristine. However, after having found out that no one actually taught me folding procedure the manager apologized and I was then sent to the sales room to keep that area tidy, which I managed to do.
I'm hoping that my second day the training will be a little more hands on and hopefully less abrassive. What are the expectations of a "model"? What's in the job description other than the obvious connotations of the word? Any tips for how to do better job on my second day? Sorry if this is all a bit paranoid, but the lack of formal training has gotten me a bit freaked out because I don't have any prior experience in retail. Thanks
